As a Longboat Key Wedding Photographer, it may not surprise you to learn that the Longboat Key Club is one of my favorite wedding spots!! Between that and how much I love this couple, not to mention the spectacular wedding vendor team, there was no way that photographing THIS wedding on Longboat Key was going to be anything less than one of my favorites ever! Lauren and Alex connected with Sandhill Photography through friends who had trusted us to capture their wedding day memories, and from the first moment that Lauren and I talked on the phone, I think we both knew we were a match made in heaven. Swanky Soiree Events coordinated the plans for the day and made sure every detail was in place for the entire event to be a dream come true, and DJ Kandy Reign had the party going strong all night. All in all, there's no question that Lauren and Alex's wedding day vision was brought to life in the most beautiful way!

Lauren started off her big day getting pampered in the beautiful bridal suite at The Longboat Key Club by the fabulous hair stylists and make up artists with Brides by Kelly Anne + Co, and loved on by all of the most important women in her life. I was so thrilled that she decided to embrace her beautiful curly locks for her wedding day. With each step of the getting ready process it was a wonder to watch her transform from the role of "fiance" to "Bride." This gorgeous woman was absolutely stunning from head to toe.

Meanwhile, Alex was joined by his groomsmen in the main entrance of the Longboat Key Club to make sure he was put together perfectly and ready to meet his bride. He cut a striking figure in the lobby as we started his wedding photography and the way you could feel his anticipation at the prospect of seeing his bride for the first time was almost palpable. As the moment approached, his friends and family surrounded him with encouragement and cheer, and finally we set off to prepare for their private first look.

Like so many couples, Lauren and Alex wanted to build their own traditions into the photographs of their Longboat Key Wedding day. In order to make sure that they could mingle with their guests at their cocktail hour on the beach they opted to have a private first look, followed by portraits prior to moving on to their beach ceremony. It's such an intimate thing to share that first moment of seeing your betrothed before the wedding ceremony with no distractions and no prying eyes in sight. They took advantage of the moment to share their wedding vows, spoken between their own two hearts with no onlookers there to hear words meant only for one another. After that, the last step was a special Jewish blessing of their marriage, shared by the mother of the bride, and to sign the marriage license in the presence of the family and bridal party. With their hearts already dancing in the air, they walked down to the shore to begin their wedding ceremony and share the moment with everyone they love. They said "I Do" beneath the Swanky Soiree Events' beautiful driftwood arch creating an atmosphere of beach romance that can't be surpassed. As the ceremony ended, Alex crushed the glass with admirable enthusiasm and they sealed their vows with a kiss.

Their reception took in beautiful views of The Longboat Key Club's golf course, and friends and family alike shared toasts, dances and laughter throughout the evening's festivities. Even the couples multitude of pets managed to make an appearance and add to the atmosphere! This epic celebration filled with love was brought to a close as the newlyweds shared a private last dance inside a field of bubbles. Laughter, love, and romance ruled the day and it's more than safe to say that the biggest day of their life was an outrageous success. They'll be telling stories of this day for a lifetime, and these beautiful pictures will make sure that they never forget a single moment of the best day ever!
